336 ANTIQUE SILVER TROPHY CUP AND COVER DUCHESS OF SUTHERLAND'S GUILD
336 Superb antique silver trophy cup and cover hallmarked for Birmingham 1910 and the makers mark of the Duchess of Sutherland's Guild .  Up under the base is the expected mark of a ducal coronet and the initials D S C G. For a Guild piece the size is astonishing . The overall height is 13" , the diameters are base, 6.7" , cup top 5.2 " , the handle width 12.6" . The weight is 1900 grams, 61.09 troy ounces. By itself , the cover weighs 368 grams, 11.83 troy ounces.Inscribed around the base rim , on the underside, is a dedication to Miles J. Stapylton by the York and Ainsty Hunt. Text of full inscription and more images  on request. Two heraldic crests showing a ducal coronet and the motto Fide Sed Cui Fide, possibly of the family Reynolds. Fabulous design ,  with magical caryatid topped C scroll handles. Exceptional condition.
